The upgrade appears to bring additional elements from the array, not expansion-dimensional features. So it might be an example of some of the free DLCs offered in the months after the RPG’s release in 2015; for example, alternate side characters and new Gwent cards, as well as new options for Geralt such as hairstyles and armor sets.
According to the studio, more information about these mysterious new items and the upgrade itself will be available soon.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next-gen version, base game, Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X – S, and PlayStation 5 later this year, containing expansions and visual improvements that include DLCs and also a set of ray tracing boosts. The new version will also be available for free for owners of the previous generation version of the game.
