Facebook Denies Biden’s Accusations of Fake COVID News

The leader of the United States, Joe Biden, recently criticized Facebook and other major social media platforms with harsh words. A news reporter questioned Biden about the spread of misinformation about COVID-19 and its vaccines on social media sites. The answer was “They are killing people. The current pandemic is only in the middle of the unvaccinated. It was in form.

Facebook, on the other hand, openly voiced its objection to these statements. A spokesperson for the company said, “We will not be distracted by allegations that are inconsistent with the facts. ” he replied. The company, which owns valuable social media apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, has published a blog post in which it describes its active role in the effort with misinformation.

If we take a look at the bets that Facebook says help;

  • More than 2 billion people have seen safe information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook since the pandemic began. More than 3.3 million Americans use our vaccine locator to find out where to get the COVID-19 vaccine and make an appointment.
  • Over 50% of US people on Facebook have encountered COVID-19 vaccine profile frames. As far as we can see, when people see the sharing of a friend they have been vaccinated with, their perception that vaccines are reliable increases.
  • We continue to encourage everyone to use these tools to show their friends that they are instilled.
  • We have removed more than 18 million instances of false COVID-19 information since the start of the outbreak.
