With Bitcoin and Ethereum always vying for supremacy, boxing legend Mike Tyson is trying to figure out which of the dominant cryptocurrencies is truly better.
One of the greatest heavyweights in history recently posted on Twitter, sparking a fierce debate amid the two largest cryptocurrency communities:
The Ethereum community joined the conversation, arguing that the largest altcoin represents the future of the internet. MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor went on the defensive for Bitcoin.
Not surprisingly, Dogecoin holders made several comments about DOGE to Tyson, even though it was an unrelated tweet.
Tyson Helped Bitcoin
While celebrity endorsements no longer excite the cryptocurrency community because of Elon Musk, it’s worth noting that Tyson was one of the first celebrities to jump on the Bitcoin train at a time when the cryptocurrency was largely unknown. The former boxer launched the Bitcoin ATM in Las Vegas in 2015. Earlier in 2016, Tyson also introduced its own cryptocurrency wallet for iOS and Android users.
